Regions shown as N/A
the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, the Azores and Madeira appear as N/A on the map. Our data comes from SNIRH, which monitors the large albufeiras (reservoirs) on the mainland river basins. Greater Lisbon has no major storage reservoir of its own — it is supplied from the Tejo system (Castelo do Bode) counted under the Centro region — while the Azores and Madeira are volcanic archipelagos whose water comes from springs, galleries and small lagoas rather than the large reservoirs tracked in the national network.
